Product Update: Quickly edit your search results and manage your affiliations

Last week, we released a huge update to BatchBook. That didn’t stop us from giving you a sweet little update last night!

We added two features that were heavily requested: Batch Actions on Search Results and an Affiliation Manager.

First, I’m really excited about the Batch Actions on Search Results. A little while ago, we launched our super-ultra-powerful advanced search. You can search by any field (even within SuperTags) with and/or/not queries and even nifty little queries like “is greater than/less than”. Now, once you build your custom query and run your search, you can perform actions right there on the Search Results page for any or all of the results.

Here’s how it looks:

With the batch actions you can:

  • Delete any records
  • Merge two contacts
  • Add tags or SuperTags to records
  • Untag selected records (this is also new and heavily requested)

But that’s not all! SuperTags isn’t the only feature we have that allows unlimited customization. The Affiliations feature allows you to link two contacts together in any meaningful way. You can affiliate them as friends, partners, spouses, or even custom terms such as “Referred by/Referred”.

Now, with the Affiliations Manager, you can edit and delete your Affiliations to keep your data tidy. It is located in (how novel!) the “Affiliations” box in the sidebar of all contact detail pages. Like so:

There are more updates that went out last night. See a complete list on the forums.

Happy organizing!
