Our Users Are So Smart: Easily Change a Company Into an Individual

A little while ago, I received this email from customer Alex:

There’s no way to switch a contact from a person to a company. So, when I forward a communication from my email, and the recipient isn’t logged yet, your system assumes that it is a person. Often, it is a business.

This was never an issue before because the user was always explicitly adding or importing contacts, therefore telling us what type of contact it should be. With the introduction of BatchBook email forwarding, that’s no longer the case. Sometimes we’re doing that grunt work for you!

Thanks to Alex’s suggestion, we’ve added a little contact type switcher in the header of the Contact Detail page. That way, if BatchBox thought your companies were people, you can switch them to companies.

Contact Type Switcher

Thanks Alex!
