Eventbrite and BatchBook – A match made in party heaven.
Here at BatchBlue, we love to party. Invite us to an event and we’re there. Ask us to throw an event? No problem, we’re on it. (We rocked SXSW last year with an amazing party for The Small Business Web.)
What we don’t always love? Event management. Sending out invites, tracking RSVP’s, updating attendees on last minute changes, getting the word out, etc. You’re trying to use email, spreadsheets, Twitter, PayPal and Facebook to organize and track your event and the next thing you know it’s a jumbled mess. You need some software to make all this stuff seamless.
That’s why we’re super excited to announce our most recent integration partner: Eventbrite! Eventbrite helps you “manage all the hard stuff—such as registrations and selling tickets—and they set you up with the tools to help your event spread virally through social networks.” I’ve used them for years and they’re awesome. Eventbrite takes all of the headaches out of planning, managing and promoting your event.
The integration process is simple. You set up an Eventbrite account ($20 in credits if you don’t already have one – Thanks Eventbrite!), build a list in BatchBook, push the Send to Eventbrite button and let Eventbrite work their event management magic. Then you get to spend your time kicking back at your event instead of worrying about managing the guest list. Check out the screencast below to see just how easy it is to use BatchBook and Eventbrite together:
This is only the beginning of our partnership with Eventbrite. We have plans for a deeper two-way integration that will allow you to send your post-event details back into BatchBook.
We hope you’ll get as much use out of this integration as we are. If you still have questions about the integration check our FAQ’s. And as always, if there are integrations with other partners that you’d like to see, please drop a comment and we’ll add it to our list.

Call me an early adopter. I didn’t realize this was new. I serendipitously came across this integration about 6 hours before this blog post, and have been trying to get it set up.
EventBrite has two kinds of API keys – I initially tried with the wrong one. The video’s helpful in that respect.
I’m already bugging EventBrite to add features to their service/API – WebHooks an/or custom notification emails FTW!
Looking forward to seeing a stronger integration here – keep up the good work!
Kurt
Eventbrite is really great and I’m excited to see this integration. I hope you will get the reverse integration up and running as quickly as you can. It would be terrific to be able to pull information that people give us when are signing up for something back into the Batchbook record.
I would vote for the same thing with MailChimp!!
Thanks!
it’s great that we can do event planning through batchbook + eventbrite, but we’re still waiting on usable calendar functionality with Google Apps.. C’mon!
@aaron We’re currently looking at ways to revamp calendaring within BatchBook. Would love your thoughts on how we can improve.
Very happy to hear about the integration, however really need the two way communication with Eventbrite. We use Eventbrite to manage guests for our webinars, it would be sooooo much easier if the information fed back into Batchbook. How about an integration with an online meeting service like DimDim, now that would be handy!
