Customer Profile: Spark Languages

Learning a new language is often challenging and frustrating. Batchbook customer Spark Languages doesn’t think that should be the status quo. They want learning another language to be fun, engaging, and effective. Through their program in Spain, students can learn Spanish in an immersive setting as they connect with teachers and native speakers.

What do you do?

We run Spanish language courses for adult learners and school groups. We offer accommodation in our own cultural residence, in hotels and also in staying with Spanish families.  We also run an English Academy for Spanish children and a small translation service.

Why do you do it?

We are genuinely passionate about education and love the opportunity that running language courses gives us to help a person in their educational and personal development.  All our team are past learners of languages, be that Spanish, English or another language.

We all have first-hand experience of the challenges that need to be overcome to learn a language.  We also know firsthand the rewards and satisfaction that can come from speaking that first sentence or from having a full-on conversation! We are a highly motivated team that wants to leave its own mark on the way languages are taught and learned. We want to inspire people of all ages and levels to learn Spanish with our philosophy and methodology that we believe is: fresh, effective and most importantly, fun!

Where is the company based?

We are based in attractive seaside town of El Puerto de Santa Maria in Andalusia, Southern Spain.  We have the joy of being located on one of the prettiest coastlines in Spain, la Costa de la Luz.

How does Batchbook help your business?

After looking at a couple of traditional CRM solutions, we quickly realized that we wanted something more friendly, simpler and yet still flexible enough to allow us to get the most out of a CRM and its integration with our IT infrastructure and web presence.  Through our research we found Batchbook, which came out as one of the innovators in the market from a social perspective, as well as a cost-effective option. Overall we found it an effective solution for our immediate business needs.

The web-based application makes it easy to manage our contacts and handle many aspects of the interaction and communication with them.  Custom tags and SuperTags are used to manage enrollments, along with deals, and having all available in the same system is a great asset.  To-Dos also give us an effective way to structure our interaction with our customers.

Recently we have put more effort in using the API, which provides yet another way of leveraging on Batchbook and we have pushed toward a more effective integration between our enrollment procedures and Batchbook.

Integration with our other applications has always been a key factor for us and so far we have successfully integrated: Mailchimp, Zendesk and Zopim to our Batchbook database. We also have a custom integration for comments in WordPress which allow people commenting to be added in our contact lists and we are always looking for more ways to utilize Batchbook.

After a year of using Batchbook we can confidently say that Batchbook is an integral part of how we run our business.
