Tips & Tricks for an organized New Year
I will better manage my notes, communications and comments – Sure, contact information is at the core of Batchbook but it’s also about your relationship with the folks you know and work with. We think Batchbook can help you keep track of all of the relevant details about your contacts. In this blog post I share my thoughts on how best to use our various comments, notes and communications options to keep your information in the right place.
I will better keep track of my family and personal information – While primarily designed for solopreneurs and small business, we know that maintaining a productive personal life is just as important. It’s one of the core tenets here at BatchBlue and our CEO Pamela O’Hara recently shared her own tips and tricks on how Batchbook can also be used to manage families.
I will get to know my Batchbook Customer Experience Team – Personal connections and relationships are at the core of not only how Batchbook is designed but also how we work here at BatchBlue. We love getting to know our customers, profiling them on our blog, talking with them at our webinars and helping them get the most out of Batchbook when we respond to their emails. We know there are real people out there who have entrusted us with their information and we don’t take that lightly. We encourage you to get to know us in the Customer Experience team and let us help you.
I will give myself a healthy work environment – The beauty of working with a cloud app is the ubiquity of your data. With the move to laptops, mobile phones, iPads and such, being able to access our work from anywhere is a tremendous boon for productivity. There is something to be said however for a nice consistent work space. Not only is their comfort in having a space of your own, it’s also critical for our own health to work in a healthy environment. Our Product Manager Keri Calhoun offers 10 Ergonomic Tips for Setting Up Your Home Workstation. Great stuff here.
I will Tag and SuperTag myself into maximum productivity – Tags and SuperTags are really key concepts and organizational structures in Batchbook. While you can certainly track information without using them, mastering the concepts of tagging and SuperTagging will bring you significant gains if you master them. I recommend this recent article on clever uses of Tagging in Batchbook. While not SuperTags, our standard tags are pretty darned wonderful.
One of my favorite features in Batchbook is our RSS Feed SuperTag. With it you can bring just about any information you can think of in to your account and tie it to your contact pages. Our Feed Me! post gives some examples and details while Bradford, the newest member of the Customer Experience team recently expanded on that to show us How to Add YouTube Videos to Batchbook.
From all of us here at BatchBlue, we wish you a happy, organized and productive 2011!
