BatchBook Product Update

Time for another installment of what’s new in BatchBook:

New SuperTag field added: Recurring Dates

This is the major addition from last week. Now, using SuperTags, you can add a new field type called “Recurring Dates”. This field type is for things that come up on regular basis: a birthday; anniversary; call Dad every Monday, etc.

Once you set this SuperTag up in BatchBook, all dates for the upcoming week will display on the Dashboard in the Upcoming Events box on the right hand side of the page:

Now you have no excuse for forgetting your Mother-in-law’s birthday!

Company communication logs display employee communications

This was from a request from a BatchBook user, Alex. Now when you view a company detail page you will also see all employee communications in the activity log as well. This makes a lot of sense — you can now see all your team’s communications with a company in one place. Thank you Alex for the great suggestion!

Merge Records now creates multiple location data

Say you have two records that you’re merging and they both have work locations. We used to delete the duplicate location data for the record you chose not to keep, but now we create new work locations (called work1, work2 etc.) Thanks to Chris Brogan for helping us think this through.

BatchBox messages display in Recent Activity on the Dashboard

Communications appear on Recent Activity so you can see messages coming into BatchBook via BatchBox at a quick glance right on your Dashboard. Handy!

We hope you like all the tweaks and changes. As always, feel free to let us know what you would like to see in BatchBook. We’re always listening.

Is there any way to get monthly recurring dates? I’m new to BB and you would not believe how this has stalled my adoption process.

Every time I start setting up my SuperTags I want this feature, I get frustrated and I close the window … help!
